John Antognoli has taught Computer Science to college students and computer professionals for the 20+ years. He has been a member of the UM-St. Louis Mathematics and Computer Science Department since 1974, having taught Mathematics from 1974 to 1987 and Computer Science from 1987 to the present. He has also taught Computer Science for Washington University. John is a senior associate of OCI and teaches UNIX, Java, C, C++, and Data Structures. He has earned masters degrees in Mathematics (UM-St. Louis, 1977) and Computer Science (Washington University, 1989).

James C. Blair, Adjunct Professor of Information Management Programs, received his PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University. While completing his degree he did university research and development in the areas of hierarchical storage systems and interactive debugging. After leaving the university he has held various technical and managerial positions in information systems for businesses in computer technology, manufacturing, retail, finance and publishing. In 2001 he received his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Dr. Blair is the founder and president of Paladin Project Management Consultants, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in coaching, supporting and training in project management. He combines his executive experience with his teaching and consulting experience to provide a holistic and integrative perspective for implementing positive business change and improving business effectiveness by means of improved project management. He also serves as Director of Information Systems at TradeHarborSM, Inc. (The Voice SignatureSM Company), a firm specializing in voice signature authentication for electronic commerce.

Dr. Thomas A. Browdy (Tom) is Adjunct Professor of Information Management has over 20 years of experience in information technology. He has held technical, management, consulting, and academic positions. Consulting and teaching have been in the areas of technology transfer, project management, business transformation, motivation, Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE), development methodologies, and skills assessment of information systems professionals. Dr. Browdy has published numerous articles in these areas. Teaching has included graduate and undergraduate academic courses, as well as professional seminars. Formal presentations have been made to local, national, and international groups both in the U.S. and Europe. He has chaired and served on various program committees for a variety of information technology events, and has served as a reviewer and referee for technology publications. Dr. Browdy holds a B.S. degree in mathematics, a Master of Information Management, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Psychology.

Jim Chandler is a highly skilled solution architect, software engineer, project manager and trainer with emphasis on Microsoft technologies and tools. He is a perceptive and extremely experienced trainer, providing training and lectures for the last 20 plus years. As a consultant Jim develops .NET software solutions and provides general IT consulting. He has shown a proven ability to deliver quality training programs and software solutions. He is considered a creative thinker and problem solver in the classroom or when building software solutions. In addition, Jim is quite involved in the local .NET "scene"…delivering lectures, training, and coordinating .NET events.

Chuck Felix is an Oracle Certified Professional with 20 plus years of experience in the Information Services field as a Programmer, Analyst, or Oracle DBA. He has devoted the last 6 years to developing curriculum and teaching Oracle and other database related classes. Chuck’s focus is on database administration and his experience in the field in this area helps him to relay practical yet complex topics to his students.

Brian Gilstrap, a Principal Software Engineer at Object Computing since 1998, brings over 20 years of in-depth industry experience and a degree in Computer Science to the classroom. With expertise in object-oriented systems, distributed systems, graphical user interfaces, and security, he has built a variety of applications in a variety of languages from the very small to the very large. Author of the Java Performance Tuning course, he teaches a number of Java-related courses, including the introductory and advanced courses. Brian enjoys the opportunity to share knowledge with others and finds teaching a great way to do so.

Kevin Grossnicklaus is an Enterprise Application Architect with a specialization in assisting and mentoring development teams in designing, architecting, and building enterprise scale, distributed .NET applications. Kevin also focuses on developing robust, reusable frameworks for use in assisting the adoption of best practices for both .Net and Smart Client based development projects. Kevin is one of the lead trainers in .NET for The Roth Group.

Joe Hajek has 18+ years in technical training, business analysis, software development and IT management. He has a gift for sensing, understanding and communicating with others while teaching and has a proven ability to express ideas and information to a variety of audiences. He has been a member of the Oracle team and stays actively involved in database technology. He delivers courses in database fundamentals, relational design, data modeling, SQL, data warehousing and data mining.

Carol Holthouse, PE, PMP brings more than 25 years of business and consulting experience to the classroom. She has managed a rapidly growing division of a consulting company and provided consulting services that include IT Strategic Planning services, integrated software development and training projects, PC support, and e-mail system administration. Carol has developed and delivered training on proprietary software systems, project management and consulting skills, Microsoft Project, and other desktop software. She held positions as a consultant and instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, specializing in statistical process control and team problem solving techniques, and as a process engineer and team manager for Procter and Gamble. Carol Holthouse graduated with highest honors from Purdue University, and has completed 20 hours of graduate education course work.

Jeff Hoyer is an experienced and dynamic IT trainer and consultant. Jeff’s teaching abilities stem from his more than 15 years experience in the computer industry as an IT and Project Management consultant for numerous Fortune 500 companies. As an instructor, Jeff is dynamic and consistently gets positive feedback from his students. He has provided computer consulting and training in Project Management, Web application development, and Web design. Some of his courses include the Web Content Design curriculum, Web Design, other Web Technologies and tools as well as the Project Management.

Paul Jensen is a Partner and Principal Software Engineer at Object Computing, Inc. (OCI). He has been associated with OCI for over ten years, providing mentoring and consulting in a wide range of industries including defense, health care, and his primary interest, finance. His experience includes object-oriented design and development in C++, Java, and .NET. Paul's combination of technical expertise and real-life experience provides insightful and practical instruction. Paul received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Paul has taught classes in Struts, Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB).

Clarence Johnson is the president of Johnson Computer Technologies, Inc. full service network solution provider. Clarence has over 25 years experience as a computer/network engineer with many fortune five 100 companies. He is also an experienced and dynamic IT trainer and consultant, and these abilities stem from his hands-on experience as a computer/network engineer. His experience includes multiple operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows, VMS), programming languages (C,PERL, PHP, and UNIX SHELL), network equipment (Cisco, 3COM, and HP) , networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPX, DecNET and AppleTalk) and emerging technologies such as VOIP. Clarence also has the ability to explain complicated technical concepts to non technical managers. Clarence has degrees in Engineering, and Business as well as many industry certifications.

Chip Jones teaches "Programming Perl" and is a Principal Software Engineer for Object Computing, Inc., where he has worked since 1999. He has a background in UNIX systems administration, and currently focuses on C++ application development for embedded systems. He has an MS in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Marty O'Black is managing partner for Network Data Corporation. Marty has many industry certifications and twenty years of information systems experience, from network design to support, architecture and planning. His skills include infrastructure assessment, project management, and software testing, security and performance analysis. In addition to Microsoft, IBM and CompTIA certifications, Marty calls upon his extensive experience as a systems analyst and network administrator, technical consultant and corporate trainer to deliver "hands-on" operating system and networking classes. Because he helps manage and deliver IT projects for several local firms, Marty brings real-world infrastructure deployment experience to every class.

Akin Ola is a professional software architect with a proven track record of achieving set goals while providing innovative and practical solutions, in application development, database design, business and project management. He is adept at assessing business needs and efficiently transforming business requirements using effective technology solutions, also training/supporting both developers and end users. Recognized as an accomplished manager, trainer and an outgoing communicator with a high level of self motivation and proven abilities in team development, leadership and interfacing with people at all levels to achieve desired results.

Jeffrey Pricher is a CISSP with over fifteen years experience in computer fault analysis, repair and security. He possesses a detailed understanding of operating systems, network ports and protocols, TCP/IP, intrusion detection/prevention and the OSI model. Knowledge of network exploits, security best practices, defense in depth measures and incident reporting and handling procedures. Jeff has a BS in Management/Computer Information Systems, a MA in Computer Resources and Information Management and an MS in Network Security. Some of his previous jobs include an Intrusion Detection Technician for the Air Force Air Mobility Command, a Security Engineer for the Air Force Communications Agency and an Information Systems Security Officer for Boeing. Jeff is currently employed by KV Pharmaceutical where he is head of information security and he serves part-time with the Missouri Air National Guard as an Air Operations Center communications officer.

Cheryl Roth is President of the Roth Group. The Roth Group has successfully provided IT training seminars nationally and recently internationally for the last 19 years. Cheryl Roth is also an instructor for the Roth Group. She has over twenty years of experience in course development, delivery of IT training seminars, and consulting services. Cheryl and her group have written and delivered hundreds of classes, focusing for the last several years on .NET, databases, web application development, and project management. Among the classes Cheryl teaches are SQL Server, Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, Data Warehousing, Visual Basic.NET, and project management. In addition, she is an adjunct professor in the Sever Institute Program of Continuing Studies at Washington University.

Paul Shirer is a Technology Instructor and Independent Consultant in the St. Louis area. As an Independent Consultant he specializes in the development of e-learning applications, online tutorials and interactive web sites. As a technology instructor he delivers courses in various computer languages and applications, including Flash, ActionScript, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, ASP, JSP, ASP.Net, PHP, XML, and XSL.

Rob Smith is a Principal Software Engineer at OCI. He has been with OCI since 2001 and has more than 9 years of industry experience with a focus on Java development. He has been working with Ruby and the Ruby on Rails web development framework since 2005. He has developed the Ruby on Rails Web Development course and has taught numerous Java training courses. Rob holds a B.S. in MIS from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

Todd Stewart joined OCI as a Senior Software Engineer in 1999. He has twenty years of experience in the software development environment. Todd received a Masters of business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in 1998. He has thirteen years experience working with object-oriented technologies and is proficient in Java, C++ and CORBA. He has eight years of experience in managing software design and development as a programming team leader. Since joining OCI, Todd has taught the following courses: Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and Object-Oriented Design Patterns.

Mary Jo Thierry in the last 10+ years has provided computer-training including: SharePoint, ASP.Net, ASP, Web Services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and other scripting languages for the web. For the past several years she has focused on developing courses and provided training in ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#. Prior to these positions she worked in a full-time IT position, first with ITT Financial Corp and later with UM-St. Louis. Mary Jo holds a Masters degree in Information Management from Washington University.

Dan Troesser has over 10 years experience in software development. Dan received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1996. He has object-oriented experience using C++ and Java and is a Certified Java Programmer. He has worked as a software engineer for McDonnell Douglas, Hughes, Raytheon, Object Computing, Inc., and Monet Desauw. Software consulting assignments have included such companies as Motorola, Boeing, SSM Healthcare, Edward Jones, Artifact Entertainment, Bloomberg, Raytheon, and Breakwater Trading. Dan teaches Java Servlet Programming, JavaServer Pages for Web Application Development, and JavaServer Faces.

Patti Venturella has worked as an IT trainer and consultant in application development for more than 20 years. She has worked with companies of all sizes in a variety of industries, including education, manufacturing, retail, and medical. Patti has provided excellent training for more than 15 years, and she is skilled in programming languages including C#, VB.NET, ADO, ADO.NET, Visual Basic, and VBA.

Mark Volkmann is a partner at OCI and has been a software engineer and instructor there since 1996. Prior to that, he was a software engineer at McDonnell Douglas for ten years. He has BS and MS degrees in Computer Science. His areas of focus include Java, Ruby and XML. He has developed the following Java-related courses: Java for Non-C Programmers, Intermediate Java Programming, Advanced Java Programming and Java Swing Programming. He has developed the following XML-related courses: Creating and Validating XML, Processing XML with XSLT, XSL-FO and XQuery, XML Programming Using Java and Web Services Using Java. He also developed the Ruby Programming course. Mark loves teaching because he loves interacting with students and fielding a variety of questions that help to broaden his experience in the topics he teaches.
